Public evidence, explicit limits.

The tools summarize publicly verifiable concepts. They do not reproduce paid standards or pretend to know undisclosed product behavior.

Confidence model

LevelWhat it means
CalculatedA transparent arithmetic result from the values you entered.
Declared fitPublicly stated capabilities are consistent, but real negotiation was not observed.
Needs verificationA required capability is missing, ambiguous, vendor-specific, or dependent on exact topology.
MeasuredNot produced by this site. Requires hardware or trusted operating-system telemetry.

Calculation notes

Charging

The preliminary electrical ceiling is the minimum of device target, active charger-port output, and cable power rating. Protocol mismatches and real-world conditions can only reduce or reshape that result.

Display payload

The planner multiplies active width × height × refresh × bits per pixel × display count, applies the selected chroma factor, then adds a user-selected timing overhead estimate. It compares that estimate with known usable DP payload rates. It is not an exact CVT timing generator or a DSC model.

Multi-port power

The planner screens per-port targets against a total budget, then shows a proportional scenario when demand exceeds that budget. Actual chargers may use fixed or dynamic allocation rules; the exact manufacturer table remains authoritative for the chosen port combination.
