Cable · requirement selector
Choose the cable by the job, not the connector.
Build a minimum claim set across power, USB data, DisplayPort video, and tunneled USB4 or Thunderbolt traffic.
What must the cable carry?
Why this is separate from decoding a listing
The Cable Capability Decoder starts with a product claim and asks what it plausibly means. This selector starts with your workload and creates the minimum claims a candidate cable must meet.
Power, data, video, and tunneling are independent axes. A 240 W cable may be USB 2.0 only; a fast data cable may not carry 5 A; and connector shape alone proves none of them.
