Isolation flow
Change one link at a time.
Turn a vague USB-C failure into a short, ordered test plan that starts with the highest-signal checks.
What failed?
Why isolation beats random replacement
A USB-C chain can fail at the source port, charger, power profile, cable conductors, e-marker, adapter, dock, display input, operating-system policy, or device firmware. Replacing several parts at once hides the cause and can repeat the same mismatch.
Stop immediately if a cable or charger is damaged, wet, arcing, discolored, swollen, or unusually hot. This tool is not an electrical safety inspection.
Record before changing
Note the exact physical port, cable, charger port, connected devices, display mode, battery level, and whether the fault is repeatable. A copied result makes a useful checklist for manufacturer support.
